It’s that time of year again: When medical students across the country officially become doctors.
For Stanford Medicine grads, the big moment happens on Saturday, during a diploma ceremony that begins at 1 p.m. on campus.
During the ceremony, the school will award 88 MD degrees, 90 PhD degrees, as well as 77 MS degrees. Dean Lloyd Minor, MD, will deliver welcome remarks; and Paul Berg, PhD, a world-renowned biochemist, Nobel laureate, educator and advocate for scientific freedom, will deliver the keynote address.
We’ll be sharing photos of the activities on the school’s Instagram all weekend; if you have any to share, be sure to use the hashtags #StanfordMedicine or #Stanford18. And visit Scope again on Monday for more from the day of celebration.
